Funding and Withdrawal Policies

Funding Your DriveWealth Account. Regardless of the funding method that you use to deposit funds into your Live Investing Account, DriveWealth is not responsible for your funds until funds are actually received by DriveWealth. To fund your account, you may have entered into a customer agreement with the funding service provider that you selected in your sole discretion. That funding service provider is acting as your agent, and not as DriveWealth’s agent. The funding service provider may charge fees, interest, currency exchange, or other charges. DriveWealth does not recommend any particular funding service provider, and lists them solely for your convenience in funding your account.

DriveWealth may have entered into a merchant or similar agreement with funding service providers. In some cases, DriveWealth may bundle its fees with those of the funding service provider, in which case all such charges are included. DriveWealth may incur a small gain or loss in those circumstances – details available upon request. 

Note: DriveWealth LLC does not generally accept third-party deposits (deposits of funds that are not those of the account owner). Such deposits require substantial additional documentation in order to be approved.

All funding methods are subject to Anti-Money Laundering review.

Holding Period of Funds to Ensure Authorized Use or for Anti-Money Laundering Review
DriveWealth has a holding period – deposited funds cannot be withdrawn – for certain types of funding methods as follows:

Credit Card, Debit Card, Dinpay, China Union Pay:  To protect their users, card merchants permit card holders to submit claims for unauthorized use for sixty (60) days. To ensure the card use is authorized, DriveWealth LLC also has a sixty (60) day holding period from the date the deposit was received.

ACH: Electronic deposits to your DriveWealth account via ACH will typically take 4-5 business days to clear and be used for trading. ACH deposits must remain in your account for a minimum of 15 business days prior to being able to withdraw up to $250 of the original deposit, and 30 business days to withdraw the full amount of funds. Other restrictions may apply if fraud or other potential anti-money laundering concerns are raised.

There is no holding period for funds deposited by Bank Wire.

There can be up to a ten (10) business day holding period for funds deposited by Check.

Withdrawal Policy
If you funded your account by Credit Card, Debit Card, or ACH, you can only receive funds for a withdrawal as a Bank Wire, Dwolla or Check. If you deposited funds by Bank Wire, ACH or Check, you can have withdrawn funds returned to you by any one of those methods. You may withdraw funds in your account (all cash balances or excess margin) at any time after they are cleared.

ACH deposits must remain in your account for a minimum of 15 business days prior to being able to withdraw up to $250 of the original deposit, and 30 business days to withdraw the full amount of funds. To *withdraw funds from your DriveWealth account, please login to your DriveWealth account, go to “Add Funds”, and toggle to “Withdraw Funds”. The account information provided on the form must match the account information on file. You can also withdraw funds by faxing the Funds Withdrawal Request Form below to 973-998-5302. For security reasons, do not send a withdrawal request by email.

After you submit the withdrawal request, you will receive a notification within 24 hours in regards to the status of your withdrawal.

Payments made to a beneficiary other than the account name on file are considered third party. As a policy, DriveWealth will not make third party payments.

*A withdrawal of funds will result in a reduction of funds available to be used for margin to maintain open positions.  This may result in the liquidation of any or all of your open positions. It is your responsibility to ensure that your account holds enough margin to maintain open positions.

Deposit and Withdrawal Fees
There are fees associated with deposit and withdrawal methods. It is prudent to understand these fees before depositing and withdrawing funds to and from your DriveWealth account. Please see the
DriveWealth Fee Schedule for a summary of any fees.

DriveWealth will deduct the withdrawal fee from the amount requested to be withdrawn. DriveWealth will not process withdrawal requests if the amount requested to be withdrawn is less than the cost of the withdrawal.
